Service Description

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that means the science of life. It is commonly referred to as a sister science to yoga, but physical asana practice is actually just one tool in the Ayurvedic toolbelt. Ayurveda highlights a reunion with nature, including strong ties to the seasons, times of day, and stages of life. Using basic tri-doshic tools of Ayurveda, we’ll gently cleanse the body, mind, and spirit, exploring techniques that reduce ama (toxins) and increase ojas (the juice of life!) Each class will include pranayama (breath work), mudra (hand symbols) japa mantra (repeated mantra), asana(yoga) live sound bath, cleansing Ayurvedic meditation, and teachings on simple Ayurvedic tools to use in daily life for optimal health. Basic dietary suggestions will also be provided, along with some recipes. Week one: prakriti-your dosha introduction-habit 1-morning sadhana Week two: doshic seasons-habit 2 earlier dinner Week three: 24 hour doshic clock -habit 3-habit 3-early to bed, early to rise Week four: doshic stages of life-habit 4-lunch is the mightiest meal
