Service Description
Join Tami as she guides you through this Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra practice. What are these practices and how do they differ? Yin yoga is a deep stretching practice focused on releasing the connective tissues primarily working the lower body, hips, pelvis, lumbar spine areas with little to no standing. These postures are held longer than in a more Yang flow practice (which focuses more on your muscles). Yin is a quiet and complex practice that will help to cultivate patience, focus, and stability in both mind and body. Restorative yoga postures are also held longer, but with the aid of several props to support the body in relaxing and releasing as we activate the parasympathetic nervous system. This will then set you up for Yoga Nidra, yogic sleep, a deep guided practice of meditation, relaxation, and awakening the spirit. Classes in the series will also include a time to journal while sipping on herbal tea, cool lavender eye cloths, and a touch of Reiki. Appropriate for all levels.
